Application of Permanent Residence (Skilled Worker/Professional)

Documents Required

  • a dully filled and signed application form with 4 copies
  • an original Passport with at least 6 months validity with 4 copies of photo page and 4 copies of the pages of visa & stay permit for the period of 3 years in Myanmar such as both arrival and departure stamps inside the passport by immigration control
  • an original Identity Card with 4 copies
  • an original Medical Certificate with 4 copies
  • 3 recent standard UK Passport Colour photos (1.5 x 2 inch)
    (Scanned photos are not allowed & photo must be taken within the last 6 months)
  • an original Degree or Certificate of Qualifications with 4 copies
  • an original reference letter for work experience or service with 4 copies
  • an original letter of appointment for at least one year service with 4 copies
  • scanned CD of all the above-mentioned documents including right & left hand fingerprints and signature of the applicant

Application Fee

  • non-refundable application fees of £ 430 only in cash payable to Myanmar Embassy
  • a receipt on Form page-3 will be given back to the applicant after signing by both sides

 Note: In the application form, the followings must be filled accordingly:

  1. Part A
  2. Part B – 1,2,3,4,5,12
  3. Part C (if the applicant has any family members)
  4. Part D (if the applicant has the children)
  5. Part E (if the family members are also applying)
  6. Part F (for any other particulars)

Application of Permanent Residence (Foreign Investor)

Documents Required

  • a dully filled and signed application form with 4 copies
  • an original Passport with at least 6 months validity with 4 copies of photo page and 4 copies of the -pages of visa & stay permit for the period of 3 years in Myanmar such as both arrival and departure stamps inside the passport by immigration control
  • an original Identity Card with 4 copies
  • an original Medical Certificate with 4 copies
  • 3 recent standard UK Passport Colour photos (1.5 x 2 inch)
    (Scanned photos are not allowed & photo must be taken within the last 6 months)
  • 4 copies of the documents relating to company registration, valid license Form-6, 26, recommendation letter of Myanmar Investment Commission and Special Economic Zone Administrative Committee
  • scanned CD of all the above-mentioned documents including right & left hand fingerprints and signature of the applicant

Application Fee

  • non-refundable application fees of £ 430 only in cash payable to Myanmar Embassy
  • a receipt on Form page-3 will be given back to the applicant after signing by both sides

Application of Permanent Residence (Ex-Myanmar)

Documents Required

  • a dully filled and signed application form with 4 copies
  • an original Passport with at least 6 months validity with 4 copies of photo page and 4 copies of the pages of the visa & stay permit in Myanmar such as both arrival and departure stamps inside the passport by immigration control
  • an original Identity Card with 4 copies
  • an original Medical Certificate with 4 copies
  • 3 recent standard UK Passport Colour photos (1.5 x 2 inch)
    (Scanned photos are not allowed & photo must be taken within the last 6 months)
  • a recommendation letter of a sponsor in Myanmar
  • a copy of the applicant's National Identity Card
  • an original Identity Card of the parents and grandparents with copies
  • scanned CD of all the above-mentioned documents including right & left hand fingerprints and signature of the applicant

If the applicant wants to apply for his/her children,

  • Birth certificate verified by a notary
  • Household list

Application Fee

  • non-refundable application fees of £ 430 only in cash payable to Myanmar Embassy
  • a receipt on Form page-3 will be given back to the applicant after signing by both sides

Application of Permanent Residence (Foreign Relative of Myanmar National)

Documents Required

  • a dully filled and signed application form with 4 copies
  • an original Passport with at least 6 months validity with 4 copies of photo page and 4 copies of the pages of visa & stay permit in Myanmar for a period of 2 years such as both arrival and departure stamps inside the passport by immigration control
  • an original Identity Card with 4 copies
  • an original Medical Certificate with 4 copies
  • 3 recent standard UK Passport Colour photos (1.5 x 2 inch)
    (Scanned photos are not allowed & photo must be taken within the last 6 months)
  • 4 copies of an official marriage certificate (must be over 2 years of marriage) verified by a notary
  • scanned CD of all the above-mentioned documents including right & left hand fingerprints and signature of the applicant

Application Fee

  • non-refundable application fees of £ 430 only in cash payable to Myanmar Embassy
  • a receipt on Form page-3 will be given back to the applicant after signing by both sides
